Thunderwolves sweep DH from Ithaca JV

Niagara County Community College closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a pair of road victories over Ithaca College JV on Thursday. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 4 in the latest NJCAA Div. III poll, are now 28-5 overall. Next up is a key four-game regional slate against second-place Finger Lakes Community College.

Niagara CCC 9, Ithaca JV 3

Sophomore Will Lawrence and freshman Raymond Specht each had two hits and two RBIs in the victory. Sophomore Joe Barberio was 2-for-3 with an RBI triple and two runs scored. Sophomore Tyler Brill got the win on the mound as he allowed just three hits and one earned run over 4.2 innings of work.

Niagara CCC 6, Ithaca JV 4

Specht was clutch again as he finished with two hits, two RBIs and three runs scored. Classmate Nick Spyropoulos added two RBIs in the win. Sophomore Brandon Underhill pitched a scoreless seventh to earn his second save of the day.
