Rodriguez is medalist at JCC Invite
SUNY Niagara sophomore Eliel Rodriguez put together an even-par round of 72 to earn medalist honors at Friday's Jamestown Community College Invitational hosted by Chautauqua Golf Club. Rodriguez finished one shot in front of Herkimer College's Jaydon Dietz.
The Thunderwolves, meanwhile, finished as runner-up in the team scoring for the first time this season. SUNY Niagara had 299 total strokes, which was one behind Hudson Valley Community College.
Sophomore Teddy Swiech tied for fifth place with a 75, while classmate Ryan Kates and freshman Anthony Gagliardi each shot 76. Sophomore Adam Firkins carded a 78.
The T-Wolves return to the course bright and early Saturday morning for their home tournament at Willowbrook Golf Course.
