Niagara County Community College used a 56-point second half to surge past visiting Monroe Community College for an 88-78 Western New York Athletic Conference victory on Wednesday night.
The No. 9 Thunderwolves are now 5-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while the Tribunes fell to 4-3, 0-1.
NCCC sophomore Allen Fordham had a team-high 19 points, while the second-year duo of LaMarqus Merchant Jr. and Aaron Miller each contributed 14 points and nine boards.
Also for the T-Wolves, freshman Oumaru Hydara netted 11 points off the bench.
N-Trip benefitted from 21 offensive rebounds and 31 made free throws. Ishmael Smith had 14 points to lead MCC.
NCCC is back in action at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when it travels to Finger Lakes Community College.
