NOTES:

  • Saturday marked only the second loss SUNY Niagara has had overall and the first in the postseason against Jamestown CC since the 2016-17 season (27-2 overall, 4-1 postseason). The loss also snapped the Thunderwolves’ first loss against the Jayhawks since a 68-66 regular season defeat on March 24, 2021 in Jamestown. SUNY Niagara then began a 15-game winning streak against Jamestown CC in the next meeting, a 99-56 win in the NJCAA Region III Div. II championship on April 3, 2021.

  • The 11-point outing marked Marshall’s 23rd game in double-digit scoring in his sophomore campaign (51st of career). The Queens, NY resident is currently fourth among all NJCAA Division II players with his team-high 24.7 points per game and leads in free-throw percentage (92.9%), as of March 1.

  • In 57 career games, Marshall scored 1,200 points (21.1 per game). • With his 1-of-4 performance against Monroe CC Saturday, Marshall finished with 114 career 3-pointers and is one of seven SUNY Niagara players to cross the century mark since the 2016-17 season. Marshall is seventh on this list and 2018 graduate Donel Cathcart still holds the record in these 10 seasons with 144.

  • The 18 points marked Humphrey’s 16th double-digit scoring game of the season and the 10th in his last 13 outings. Humphrey finished second on SUNY Niagara in points per game (17.4) and assists per game (2.5), along with a team-high 1.9 steals and 4.5 rebounds in 20 games (all starts).
