Thunderwolves finish home slate, have draw against B&S Rochester
For the second time in a four-day span, SUNY Niagara men's club soccer finished in a draw. The latest was a 2-2 final versus Bryant & Stratton-Rochester in the program's home finale Saturday in Sanborn.
This was the Thunderwolves' second and final meeting with the Bobcats this season (3-0 loss on Oct. 3).
The Thunderwolves are now 4-1-2 in their last seven contests, dating back to a 2-1 win versus Roberts Wesleyan JV on Sept. 24.
The match was scoreless until the Bobcats struck first in the 30th minute for their 1-0 lead. The Thunderwolves responded in the 33rd when Enzo Bufalino set up Gianfranco Centeno for a header in front of the net to tie the contest at 1-1.
Bryant & Stratton-Rochester maintained a 2-1 lead for the majority of the second half before Logan Kulak scored with 10 minutes remaining to tie the contest at 2-2.
Landon Rees recorded three saves in the loss.
With the score against the Bobcats, Centeno now has a team-best eight goals and six in his last four appearances, dating back to SUNY Niagara's 2-1 win at Lorrain on Oct. 11.
SUNY Niagara (6-3-2) concludes its season Oct. 24 at Roberts Wesleyan JV and Oct. 29 at Buffalo State JV. Both road contests begin at 7 p.m.
