Blasiny, Magaris score twice in T’Wolves win over Lorain

With two goals apiece from Ayham Blasiny and Nico Magaris, SUNY Niagara men's club soccer recorded its second win of the season in a 4-2 victory over Lorain County Monday in Sanborn.

The Thunderwolves built a 2-0 lead at halftime. Off an assist from Gianfranco Centeno, Blasiny recorded his first goal in the 17th minute of action for the 1-0 lead. Magaris then scored off an assist from Blasiny in the 29th minute to give SUNY Niagara a 2-0 lead.

Blasiny scored his second of the game in the 46th minute of action. Lorain County responded with back-to-back goals in a six-minute to cut SUNY Niagara's lead to 3-2 in the 65th minute.

Magaris recorded his second and final goal off a penalty kick in the 66th minute of play to give the Thunderwolves a two-goal lead for a second time (4-2).  

The Thunderwolves recorded 22 total shots, with 13 on net. Enzo Bufalino recorded a team-high seven shots, Blasiny posted four and Magaris had three.

Goalkeeper Quinn Walton recorded two saves in the victory. Lorain County recorded 10 shots, with seven on net.

SUNY Niagara (2-1) returns to action when it hosts the Buffalo State JV team at 1 p.m. Sept. 22 in Sanborn.
