Thunderwolves bounce back with win over Roberts Wesleyan JV

SUNY Niagara men's club soccer bounced back with a 2-1 win against Roberts Wesleyan JV Wednesday in Sanborn. The victory came after an 8-0 loss to Buffalo State JV Monday. 

Gianfranco Centeno scored on a penalty kick in the ninth minute to give the Thunderwolves a 1-0 lead for the remainder of the first half. Nikolas Mogaris then gave SUNY Niagara a 2-0 lead after heading a pass from Ayham Blasiny just 10 seconds into the second half. 

SUNY Niagara recorded 11 shots, with six on goal. Blasiny and Centeno recorded three shots apiece. Mogaris, Ryan Kuebler, Frank Tuyishime and Mark Konye recorded one shot each.

Sophomore Quinn Walton recorded five saves in the win and faced 12 shots total, with six on net. 

SUNY Niagara (3-2) continues its season at 10 a.m. Sunday against Erie Community College.
