Niagara County Community College won a pair of Region III road games over former conference rival Genesee Community College on Tuesday afternoon. The Thunderwolves improved to 8-11 overall and 4-0 in the region heading into Thursday's home opener vs. Erie Community College.

Sophomore Lydia Serrano allowed just four hits and struck out three in a complete-game effort. At the plate, freshman Makayla Montes was 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored. Also for N-Trip, freshman Morgan Allis hit a triple and double with two RBIs, while classmates Shelby Wolf and Mariah Semple chipped in with two hits, two runs and an RBI apiece. Fellow frosh Mackenzie Gozdziak added a two-run double.

Freshman Maggiemay Murrins gave up just four hits, one earned run and struck out five over seven innings of work. At the dish, Murrins doubled and scored twice, Wolf was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Serrano ripped two doubles and Montes had a key RBI single.
