SUNY Niagara split a road doubleheader with Region III rival Erie Community College on Thursday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves improved to 3-20 overall and 3-10 in regional play.
The Wolves are next in action at 1 p.m. Sunday for a twinbill at Hudson Valley Community College.

Freshmen Quinn Manth and Isabella Christopher each went 2-for-3 in the loss. Classmate Lauren Kisloski was 1-for-2 and scored the Wolves' lone run.

Winning pitcher Caitlyn Hanley was 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in the back-and-forth affair. Hanley allowed just two earned runs and struck out seven in the circle. Freshman Jordan Shaffer had two doubles and two RBIs, fellow frosh Natalie Brandel was 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, sophomores Camryn Smith and Rylee VanNostrand added two hits and two RBIs each and Kisloski chipped in two hits and an RBI.
