NCCC sets program record for wins

Niagara County Community College knocked off rival Erie Community College, 60-46, in Western New York Athletic Conference action Tuesday night. It was the Thunderwolves' 26th win of the year, which sets a new program record for wins in a season. The previous mark was 25 (2013-14).

Freshman wing Taliyah Hopkins had 13 points, while sophomore forward Albanellys Perez added 11 points, six rebounds and four steals. Freshman guards Jenna Faulkner and Courtney Kaczor each chipped in with nine points in the win.

Next up for NCCC, which is currently ranked No. 12 in the NJCAA Div. II poll, is its home finale against Jamestown CC. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
