Niagara County Community College knocked off surging Mercyhurst North East, 73-47, for its fourth consecutive win in Western New York Athletic Conference action Tuesday night. NCCC, ranked No. 12 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 25-2 overall and 6-1 in the WNYAC.
Sophomore forward Albanellys Perez continued her strong play with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Freshmen guards Alliyah Gillespie and Jenna Faulkner each scored 10 points for the T-Wolves, who out-scored the host Saints 35-14 in the two middle quarters.
Next up for NCCC is a road tilt at rival Erie CC. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Burt Flickinger Center.
