Niagara County Community College split a six-pack of out-of-state non-conference games this past weekend. The Thunderwolves, who were ranked No. 2 in the latest NJCAA Div. III poll, are now 14-4 overall on the season.
Niagara CCC 14, WVU Potomac State College 4
Freshman Hunter Loomis was 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the victory over the NJCAA Div. I opponent. Also for N-Trip, freshmen Andrew Fairbrother, Matthew Ferris and Vincent Stutz each added two RBIs.
WVU Potomac State College 7, Niagara CCC 4
Fairbrother had a double, triple and scored twice, but it wasn't enough. Freshman Howie Stuckey was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Niagara CCC 18, Westmoreland CCC 1
Sophomore Kyle Menaker improved to 3-0 as he allowed just two hits in four innings of work. Fairbrother was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored and freshman Chris Tani added two hits and three RBIs.
Niagara CCC 11, Westmoreland CCC 0
Freshman Clifton Genge also moved to 3-0 as he struck out seven over four innings. At the dish, freshman Carter Arbuthnot was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and Stuckey chipped in with two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Allegany College of Maryland 7, Niagara CCC 2
First-year standout Connor Hoehman hit a home run and scored both NCCC runs. Classmate Matthew Sanfilippo threw three scoreless innings of relief.
Allegany College of Maryland 3, Niagara CCC 2
Stutz was 2-for-2 and Stuckey added an RBI and two stolen bases, but the T-Wolves gave up the lead in the bottom of the seventh frame.
