T-Wolves advance to Regional Final Four

SUNY Niagara swept its way past SUNY Adirondack in Saturday's Region III Sub-Regional series at Sal Maglie Stadium. The Thunderwolves (47-9 overall), ranked No. 5 in the latest NJCAA Div. III poll, advance to next weekend's Region III Championships at Falcon Park in Auburn. SUNY Niagara will be in search of its fourth consecutive regional title. 

SUNY Niagara 12, SUNY Adirondack 2 (6 inn.)

Sophomore right-hander Joshua Milleville struck out 10 and improved to 8-0 on the mound as the T-Wolves earned the run-rule victory. Freshman Nigel Sebastianelli led the offense with two hits, four RBIs and two runs scored, while classmate Gavyn Boyle kicked off the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run home run. Also for Niagara, freshman Weston Thompson was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, sophomore Brett Johnson finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored, sophomore Owen Silliman added two hits and two RBIs and freshman Braden Hill chipped in with a two-run double.

SUNY Niagara 7, SUNY Adirondack 2

Sophomore righty Andrew Johnson tossed 6.1 solid innings to improve to 7-1 on the year, while classmate Andrew Damiani added 2.2 innings of scoreless relief. Freshman Keygan Miksa was on fire at the plate, finishing 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Boyle also had three RBIs, while Silliman went 3-for-4 and Brett Johnson added two hits and two runs scored.
